In 1988, M. Andrew Lenhart opened a salon on Rosemary Street in Chapel Hill. Over the 30+ years, the salon grew and changed. Now as Durham Handmade Studios, led by Andrew's longtime friend and apprentice Brooks Radcliffe, the salon continues to offer exceptional haircare in a friendly, approachable environment.
Durham Handmade Studios blends a hair salon with a maker's boutique offering handcrafted soaps, candles and bathbombs inspired by local Durham ingredients, flavors and North Carolina seasons.
